The Datong City Museum, located at the ancient Buddhist temple left from the Liao Dynasty (916-1125) in Datong City of Shanxi Province, is a local comprehensive museum of China. It was prepared in 1958 and open to the public in 1959.
The Capital Museum is located in the Confucius Temple at Guozijian Street, southeast of Andingmen (Peace and Stability Gate), Beijing. It was prepared to build up in 1953, but was officially opened to the public until October 1, 1981 for setbacks in construction duration.
The National Museum of China, a four-storeyed main building with two symmetrical wings, runs more than 300 meters north and south along the eastern side of Tian'anmen Square. The predecessors of the National Museum are two museums: the Museum of Chinese History and the Museum of Chinese Revolution.
