 As the same as Du Fu, Tang poet Zhang Ji suffered from the An-Shi rebellion too. He wrote a famous poem Mooring by Maple Bridge At Night, to express his worries about the country: ‘月落烏啼霜滿天，江楓漁火對愁眠。姑蘇城外寒山寺，夜半鐘聲到客船’, which means, ‘Moon's down, crows cry and frost fills all the sky; By maples and boat lights, I sleepless lie. Outside Suzhou Hanshan Temple is in sight; Its ringing bells reach my boat at midnight’. (Poem translated by Wang Dalian)

The famous contemporary painter Fu Baoshi experienced the same worry about his country as Zhang Ji during the Anti-Japanese War. So he painted Zhang Ji’s poem, and this painting sold for 4,600,000 yuan at the China Guardian 2012 Spring Auctions.
