Participants compete in a dragon boat race marking the Dragon Boat Festival in Hong Kong on June 12. The festival, falling on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, is held in remembrance of Qu Yuan (340 BC-278 BC), a patriotic Chinese poet who committed suicide in the Miluo River in central China after he was exiled in 305 BC.
