As one of the series of events to celebrate Chinese New Year, which is officially recognized as public festival by Canadian government in 2016, Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival was held on Feb. 18, 2017. This is the first ice dragon boat festival ever held in Canada and North America, which attracted sixty teams from Canada and USA and more than forty thousand speculators.
