An exhibition now at the Summer Palace offers glimpses into the lives of court ladies in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.
Beautiful Women, Graceful Manner showcases 95 pieces including exquisite costumes, embroidery and furniture, as well as classical Chinese paintings and calligraphy, all from the collection of Beijing Art Museum located inside the Wanshou Temple.
The exhibition runs through Sept 12.
